Ok, I believe I was way way wrong on my request here.
Especially after having seen what was requested at portal3 website and some of the requests.

I believe I would be looking for something far simpler (??? Maybe) compared to all that.

Maybe something closer to what DMZX has done with his Nivoslider ( http://www.dmzx-web.net/viewtopic.php?t=1476 )

Simple images with links, Nav, effects.
Images can be placed in an image folder in the Extension or capture via URL (I use Dropbox, and keep a lot of Temporary forum images in a public share folder)

The only additional thing I would add in would be a Height entry that the end user could use to control the Height of the block.
This by allowing to end user to Set a fixed height of the block, it would avoid the images making the portal page look like a squeeze box accordion as images cycle through that may be of different height, so if the block height is set to 250px, and an image of 275px High gets slipped in, the image either gets squeezed or cut off. also; if a smaller inmage height gets added, we do not have to worry about Block shrinkage and the whole accordion thing again.

The Width of the Block is dictated by the forum, and the block, size anyways....So it will be up to the end user to properly create and modify Slider images appropriately.

I would make the slider available to two different areas:
Top, Center Column, and Bottom
Left Column and Right Column

Of course; keeping so that the block is reactive and flexible for smaller screens, Tablet, and smartphone compatible ;)

SO what do you think???3
Is it do-able
